ABOUT THE VC RUN
The Strathmore University Foundation in partnership with the Vice Chancellor ,Dr. Vincent Ogutu, is thrilled to announce the 4th edition of the Vice Chancellor’s Run which will take place on 25th May, 2024, with even more offerings to participate in this run for impact initiative.
You can participate by:
- Registering for the 21km run, 10km run or 5km walk,
- Contributing towards the Scholarship Fund,
- Following us on our social media platforms for live updates.
WHY DO WE RUN?
Strathmore University is committed to providing high-quality education to bright students from underprivileged backgrounds. In collaboration with industry partners and philanthropic individuals, the University has over the last decade invested more than KES 1 Billion in scholarship programmes. Currently, about 15% of our undergraduate students receive Scholarships, and with your help, we can attain our ambitious goal of 25% of students under financial aid.
Since its first edition in 2021 , the Vice Chancellor’s Run has grown tremendously. We invite you to join our run for impact initiative to raise funds for the Scholarship Fund which provides financial aid to students.

Program
- 6:30AM – Arrival (Strathmore Sports Complex)
- 6:30AM-7:00AM – Warm up & Briefing
- 9:30AM – Finish Point
- 9:30AM-10:00AM – Stretching
- 10:00AM – Photo Session & Cake Cutting
Events Guidelines
Water Points
We will have 3 water points along the route.
T-shirts
T-shirts to be collected prior to the event at the Alumni Gift shop.
Emergency
In case of an emergency an ambulance will be on standby.

Before the supporter can make a payment, the runner must first register at https://vcrun.strathmore.edu/
